I’ll be leading a few different kinds of faculty development sessions on and/or around Generative AI in the coming weeks, but tomorrow I get the pleasure of working with my colleagues in the School of Health and Human Sciences up at IU Indianapolis Campus and wanted to create a post to be able to quickly share out the Express page guide/content for the session.

In truth, I’m supposed to be co-presenting with DGI Co-Director Adam Maksl, but he got pulled into another obligation and so I’ll be running the session solo. As such, I’ve modified Adam’s content to fit my usual flow for faculty development engagements: we’ll start with a basic overview of Generative AI, highlight critical issues and considerations, and then get into letting the faculty work with the tools and technology. Following that, we’ll move into discussions of different uses of ChatGPT and Generative AI in Teaching and Learning (big shout out to Ethan Mollick [UPenn], who’s work is incredible and really inspired a lot of the examples we’ve included), and then wrap up with a precursor to my webinar next week on ChatGPT, Generative AI, & Syllabi: An Ethics of Practice. In any case, I do hope my colleagues find the engagement helpful.
