On Thursday, Jan. 27, Adobe held its 2021 Faculty Development Institute (FDI) Reunion, where various participants from FDI 21 got together to update one another on the progress, efforts, and initiatives created and implemented since last summer. I was fortunate enough to be asked to share an update on the IU Digital Gardener Initiative, which kicked-off on Jan. 21, 2022.
To help in telling the IU story, I created an Adobe CC Express Page that details a rough outline of things: context, exigence, response, approach, next steps, etc. That page can be found here: https://express.adobe.com/page/wzTbJnKpl3Go0/
The basic gist is that we have a plan for how to improve integration for digital literacy into the IU curriculum (university-wide), but we are, at best, currently an “in-progress” kind of representation. I hope the faculty fellows program will be successful, and I believe we have laid out a plan to make a notable impact, but in truth only time will tell.
On the plus side, I was able to share the IU story/journey alongside other institutional stories like Weber State, UT San Antonio, Winston-Salem State University, Fresno State University, George Washington, Swinburne University, and the like — all of whom are doing amazing things.
