Playing with Digital Literacy & Gen AI – faculty workshops at UIUC

This week I have the pleasure of hanging out with the folks at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign – as part of the Annual Faculty Retreat sponsored by the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (link below). I’ll be talking about the importance of digital literacy in relation to generative ai, of course, but the real fun comes in leading a couple workshops, where we can help faculty play with these platforms, build some confidence, discover some possibilities, and start to develop strategies for leveraging generative ai technologies as part of their pedagogical workflows. We’ll be playing with Microsoft’s Copilot, Adobe Firefly, and Adobe Express.
